Right now I’m using the EventOn calendar plugin and I keep hitting the PHP menu limit (1000+ events)

Does the Events Calendar have better performance or would I experience similar issues?

That is a great question!

We have customers that running tens of thousands of events on their site and that are very happy with the results.

I am not sure what your current setup is and how efficient EventOn is memory wise.

But, provided that you have a server that matches your needs (usually VPS and above – in other words shared hosting might not be the way to go if you want power), you should be fine.

We also offer the option to cache the month view, built-in.
This will work great in combination with a WordPress caching plugin such as WP Rocket for example.

Finally, our plugins are updated on very regular basis. Both for new features and performance improvement

I believe the best thing you could do is give it a try and see for yourself 🙂
