Meetup import – RSVPs?

Our organization has The Events Calendar installed on our new site, where we collect RSVPs directly. We concurrently run a Meetup goup where we also collect RSVPs. In some instances, there are duplicate RSVPs between the two. My question now is how the Events Aggregator handles RSVPs? I checked the entire knowledgebase but have not been able to find an answer.

I.e. the following scenario: I set up a meetup event in Meetup, import this event automatically into our Events Calendar via Events Aggregator. Can people RSVP on both platforms? Are the RSVPs imported into TEC as well or only the event itself? In other words, can we have RSVP options on both platforms and consolidate those RSVPs between the two platforms automatically with Events Aggregator?

Thanks for your question!

Event Aggregator cannot import RSVP’s and tickets, it can only import events and it’s details for the moment.

That said, you can set up an event in Meetup and import it to your TEC, but the RSVPs will not be synced.

You can collect RSVPs on both sides but you will need to consolidate the answers manually.

Synching RSVPs would be a nice feature to have in the future, especially since Meetup is getting more and more popular.
