ParticipantOur websites that use The Events Calendar Pro have been getting a massive amount of 404 errors in webmaster tools, and none of the help forum suggestions fix these issues.
I have posted a previous thread, and it was closed without any resolution(the last response I got was something to the tune of “we’re looking into it and will keep you updated”. Unfortunately, we were never kept updated and the ticket was marked as closed due to inactivity.
Can you please look into these issues and keep our ticket open until it’s fixed? Thank you!

ParticipantHey Jay,
I’m sorry for the inconvenience here and the need to open a new thread. Will look into what may have gone wrong in our support process with your previous thread.
In the meantime, have you taken a look at our Knowledgebase article about soft 404 reporting in webmaster tools? It may be helpful in this particular situation.
Thanks!

ParticipantThanks Josh, I’ve already looked at this page and unfortunately it doesn’t help our situation, as not only is it an SEO problem but a User Experience problem. Let me know as soon as you have any updates.
Thank you!

ParticipantThis is totally unacceptable. 404 error alerts in Webmaster Tools is a serious problem. User experience is a serious problem. I have over 1400 errors a week and Google warnings appear in my email regularly. Trying to “fix” these errors is an almost overwhelming task and robs me of time I need to be spending on updating new events. There has to be a better way, or maybe there is a better plugin. I strongly urge you pay attention to the needs of your customers and hope you will make every effort to fix this problem.

ParticipantHey,
Thanks for following up here.
It sounds like there is a different issue being experienced here. Usually webmaster tools shows “404” on pages that a user would see a typical calendar or expected view which doesn’t impact user experience at all.
Since you’re describing a user experience issue with 404s, can you link me to a page that is showing 404 that should be showing other content that is causing the user experience issues here?
Thanks!
