Map Zoom Not Working / Center of Zoom Possible?

Hello,

I am using the map view and I’d like to have the initial view zoomed in on the metro area. There are a few outlying events that are causing the view to be panned way back, which is not ideal. I’ve tried to set the zoom level, but it appears to take no effect whatsoever. So that seems like an issue, first of all.

Secondly, if it were possible to zoom, it would be nice to be able to set a center point on the zoom. Is that possible?

Thanks for using our plugins I can help out here.

The Map View is designed to show all the events on the map that are listed below.

Unfortunately, there is no setting to zoom in on a specific area. That could be possible with a significant customization to the script,but that is beyond the support we can do.

You could assign an event category to all the events you want to show in a city and then link directly to that category view of the map. Then it would focus on that area.

Yes, I can see that that’s what it’s doing — zooming out to include all of the events. It makes the zoom settings kind of useless, then, however. I know I’ve used other map plugins where you could set a center point or geolocation. That would be a useful feature addition to this map view and, along with the zoom, could make the map view whatever the developer needs. Would love to see that in a future upgrade.

The zooming settings are for the other maps such as in the single events or the venues.

I agree that could be a useful feature, if you think that is something you would like as a feature I encourage you to visit our User Voice Page and either upvote an existing request or make a new request there.
