Map at homepage

I want set map and calendar widget at homepage. I tried use new page template (Template Name: Map) in page attribute, save blank page cold Map in WP and set it as static homepage in personalization admin panel. But this doesn’t work with my code. What code should I put inside this page template? Or any other ideas?

I’m not entirely clear – but if you mean you wish map view to appear on the homepage (and also show the calendar widget) that’s not really something we can offer a lot of help with.

On our WP Shindig demo site we simply use a redirect plugin to take people to the main events page and, in your case, you could set that to show map view.

There are some alternative approaches scattered through the forum but we wouldn’t necessarily recommend them and it would be a case of using them at your own risk.

The group of templates found in the PRO plugin’s views/maps directory are used for this (as is some Javascript code which must also be enqueued for this to operate successfully).
