I would like to use the plugin Event Tickets on a website for a client, the event they are running is free. Please could you give me more information about how the user managment side works. Will I be able to assign administrators to view the attendee list within the plugin but restrict them from administering other areas of the site? or do they need to be full website administrators?

Also do you recommend using the plugin on a site with a secure certificate installed?

    Hi Rebecca

It is best to use Event Tickets RSVP feature with free events.

https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/rsvps/ is a good place to review managing these, along with https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/managing-your-orders-and-attendees/.

You can create another account for others to manage attendees. If you need to limit their accounts further to only access this area, check out https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-role-editor/.

SSL is not required but is good practice for all websites. I like https://letsencrypt.org/ but you might need something additional depending what else you are doing on your site.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
