Hi – I am making a four page site for a client. I am using a child’s theme of twenty thirteen, and want to know if I can make the Events page the Home page? – when I go to “visit site” in my WP dashboard, it goes to a page that says “nothing found”, until I click on the “Events” in my menu, then it goes to the events. how is this accomplished to set the events as the homepage?
Also, I need to have the Calendar view on the “Calendar” page, so when you click on that in the menu, it navigates to the calendar view of the events. As of now, when I click on it, it goes to a blank page. Is there shortcode I may use to drop this in? This calendar is going to be for a client who needs to have this setup as “simple” as possible.

    Hi!

Apologies for the delay, looks like this thread was unfortunately overlooked 🙁

Essentially, there is no built-in mechanism for positioning your main events page on the front page of your blog – however you could certainly use our range of widgets to achieve this (and customize them to include more detail etc) or else you could look at third party plugins such as Event Rocket to help you achieve this goal.

    Does that help at all?

Hi! It’s been a while so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread. If we can help with anything else, though, please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed. Thanks!
