Participantok I am trying to set up and configure the new upgrades and am having a real hard time with it.
The upgrade of the EC to 4.0 messed up, the events page wont even display correctly:
http://spicewoodvineyards.com/events/It shows the same text no matter how I change the display settings.
To make it worse, I add the Events Tickets Plus and as soon as I activate it, I get this message on the top of the page:
“To begin using Event Tickets Plus, please install and activate the latest version of Tribe Tickets.”
The words “Tribe Tickets” are linked to The Events Calendar, which I already have installed! It doesn’t see it at all.I had the older version working great with WooCommerce Tickets, just to be safe, I deleted ALL of it and reinstalled a new Events Calendar 4.0, then after activating that I uploaded a new copy of the Event Tickets Plus and I get that same message again about downloading “Tribe Tickets”.
Im not sure what to do next, I feel like Ive been going in circles for hours

Ack, so sorry for the trouble!
First off, it sounds like our error messaging is off and needs to be corrected. We ought to be asking you to install Event Tickets, which is a free download here on WordPress.org.
Let’s start by installing that and see if the error messaging goes away, which I think it will. then let’s check out the display issues.
When you follow-up, it would super helpful if you could also provide your system information. You can find that in Events > Settings > Help and copy and paste it here as a private reply. Again, do this after you have installed all the updates. 🙂

ParticipantThanks. It looks like the calendar and tickets are all working smooth but one problem I can seem to figure out is wht the events calendar or tickets wont show the sidebars. I am using woo Canvas with WooCommerce, its pretty solid, any ideas?

MemberGood question! The calendar does not include sidebars by default. You can switch your calendar settings (Events > Settings > Display) to use one of your theme’s page templates that uses a sidebar. Alternatively, you could follow the suggestion offered in this thread to customize the calendar template.

Participantchoosing the default template still doesn’t add the sidebar, I even went into the canvas settings and made sure the default did in fact have a sidebar in it.

Participantok none of the defaults are working and most of my problems viewing it come from the crappy caching Im having in Firefox. I’ll just have to figure out the sidebar issue some other time.
