Mike
ParticipantGood Afternoon,
I am having zero luck getting things setup to work properly. I have events added, menu link in place, permalinks setup properly. If I turn on ‘Default Events Template’ under Settings > Template the calendar appears but my main navigation menu is not present. If I turn on ‘Default Page Template’ under Settings > Template my main navigation menu appears but the calendar will not display.Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated – I have been searching for a fix and already read through this post (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-the-events-calendar-navigation-from-template-get-lost/page/2?replies=15) but nothing helped.

ParticipantHi Mike,
It’s probably something related to your theme. What theme are you using? Could you email us a copy to evaluate @ pro [at] tri [dot] be and attn. to me please?
Thanks,

ParticipantHi Mike,
Sorry about the delay in getting back to you on this. What a coincidence! I happen to be developing a custom website right now with the same theme! I was able to get the menu working by selecting the ‘Default Page Template’ in Events > Settings > Template. It sounds like you’ve tried this already right? I’m also running a newer version of Deliciuex – v1.0.5 so maybe updating will help you. Also, make sure you select the menu in the theme location here: http://cl.ly/image/2f2x26373b2o
Does that help?

ParticipantLooks like I’m running into the same problem. I don’t see the Menu and I’m not seeing the Footer text for two of my footer widget areas. Is there any additional help regarding this? Thanks

ParticipantHi Michael,
Have you tried changing the Event Template option as I suggested above?

ParticipantYes, seems like it’s an issue with the template. If I select an event to see the details everything looks great. But on the Calendar or Events list things disappear.

ParticipantHi Michael, can you email me a copy of the theme you are using so I can check it out? Please email it to pro [at] tri [dot] be, attn. to me and reference this thread.
Thanks,

ParticipantHi Michael,
I got the theme from Pat, thanks. I installed it and I’m seeing my menu on every page regardless of the Events Template I have selected. How do you have your menu setup? Are you using WordPress custom menus or something else? I’m using custom menus with it assigned to my Theme Location as you see here: http://cl.ly/image/1Z3o1Z0Z3c1m

ParticipantHi Michael,
I figured it out. It has to with using the default permalink structure in WordPress. I switched it to Postname, which is better for SEO and looks better too, and now the menu is showing up. Does that work for you?

ParticipantI was in the middle of showing the site to a client and explain why the menu was disappearing and BAM! Fixed. You’re awesome! Thanks for the help!
