ParticipantHow do I eliminate certain categories from my main event calendar in Events Pro?
&
My ALL, Published and Draft events do not show up on Dashboard/ Events anymore even though the top says I have :
All (500) | Published (466) | Drafts (34) | Trash (16)March 6, 2014 at 12:51 pm #115909Barry
MemberHi – I’m sorry to hear you are hitting up against difficulties.
In the first instance, when viewing the list of events in the admin screens, can you check out the meta box labelled Filters & Columns that displays right above the list of events? Please hit the clear button, navigate to a different screen then return: does that restore the list of events?

MemberOK, and it looks like you already carried out our standard troubleshooting steps but I just want to reiterate those to avoid any possibility that there was a a misunderstanding:
- The first thing is to ensure both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO are up-to-date
- Then, deactivate all other plugins
- Switch to a default and unmodified theme – Twenty Twelve is a great one to pick for this
Does the problem persist? Or, if you already completed those steps, can you confirm if that had any impact?

MemberThat’s definitely strange. Did this just happen all of a sudden without any warning? Or were there any events you can think of – anything from adjusting a setting to updating a plugin or theme – that might have coincided with this problem becoming visible?

ParticipantI haven’t updated or changed anything since I added the Events Calendar. It did this a few weeks ago, but then they all of a sudden reappeared. Now, gone again.
My biggest concern right now is figuring out how to eliminate certain categories from my main event calendar in Events Pro? I paid to upgrade to Pro but can’t figure this issue out.
Thanks

That’s a fairly involved customization, the essence of it though would be modifying the event queries used to build month view and you’d probably be interested in hooking in to this via the parse_query filter … it is however something we cannot help you with here.
If you would like to see exclusion of categories as a feature then definitely do post a feature request along those lines.
Thanks!
