Ben
GuestHi, I am just experimenting with the free version of event tickets and it looks good. But before I can recommend the plus version to my client I do have one issue.
In the settings both the “require login” check boxes are un checked and yet the words “login to purchase” still appear on the tickets page.
Now I could comment them out in css but why are they showing when the boxes are unchecked?

MemberHi Ben
You are correct. The CSS code needed to hide this is
.tribe-events-tickets-tpp .tpp-add { display: none; }If you are using Event Tickets Plus and along with an e-commerce plugin, this will not be displayed. We currently support WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads. Read more about each optionβs features and payment gateways.
We do have a bug ticket proposing that we change this but do not have a deliverable time frame to release that update.
Is there anything else I can help you with?
Thanks

Guestyou mention the 2 ecommerce solutions. Will this still not display if I use your lite paypal solution, I assume that it is still an option in the plus version

MemberHi Ben
This code string is part of tickets that reside in Event Tickets specifically (in the Tribe Commerce area). If you create the tickets with Event Tickets Plus, it will not display.
Thanks

GuestOK but is tribe commerce available in the plus version. I do not want to have to install a third party ecommerce solution

MemberNo, Tribe Commerce is part of Event Tickets specifically. However, Event Tickets Plus can connect to either of the e-commerce plugins mentioned, each containing a way to connect Paypal.
I know, it’s a bit of a run-around and may be overkill.
We will be at least updating the wording regarding that log in message, but I don’t have a timeframe for that happening.
Thanks

Guestthat has put the kybosh on buying it then unless you can incorporate your tribe ecommerce we will have to go with another more expensive option. You really should of made this clear in your documentation as I very nearly purchased late night. What plugin upgrade ever loses functionality that is in the free version?

MemberHey Ben
To be clear, Event Tickets Plus adds a lot more functionality than Event Tickets.
Event Tickets Plus can handle QR code check-ins, custom attendee registration information, setting a limit when you want tickets to go on sale, creating a shared stock of tickets available, and generating reports of event attendees. These are not features within Event Tickets alone.
I would still say if Event Tickets offers all that you want and you can add the CSS code, for now, to hide that line asking for a login, that would be your easiest route.
Thanks

Guestwe would need the Customizable Registration Fields so it would have to be the plus version but my client will not entertain adding another ecommerce solution. We will probably go down the route of contact form 7 pro which allows up to 5 fields per form to be priced and then links direct to paypal

MemberI see Ben. I hope your solution works out well for you. Thanks again.
