While Event Tickets Plus does not support custom pricing based on the logged in status of a user, there is a way to do this if you are using WooCommerce as the ecommerce plugin. There is a plugin called Dynamic Pricing and Discounts which allows you to configure a discount for logged in users for all WooCommerce products, including Tickets.
Ah cool. I did find that, but I wasn’t sure how nice it would play with TEC.
I was under the impression that the price displayed on the event page was configured differently to the WooCommerce price? Maybe I was using an old version of tickets – but I remember setting the price on the event (with a sale price as well), and then creating a discount in WooCommerce as well.
If that is all gone with the new version that would be awesome 🙂
Oh yeah, the price field is a good point. If tickets are enabled, then the cost field of the tickets will override the WooCommerce cost field. However, it’s totally possible to override the ticket template of the plugin altogether (more on template overrides in our Themer’s Guide) to replace the plugin’s cost field with the dynamic one.
Right on and thanks for following up! I’ll go ahead and close this thread but please feel free to let us know if anything else pops up and we’d be happy to help. 🙂
Cheers and have a great day!
