KeymasterHi Geoff,
I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue, but I’ll be happy to help you get your location field back!
First, can you go under Events > Settings > Display and verify that the “Hide location search” option is unchecked?
If so, then there may be something else on your site that is conflicting with The Events Calendar. Can you try running through these steps to test this out? If you don’t have a testing site already, the WP Staging plugin will let you create a quick copy of your live site that you can use for testing.
Finally, I would also recommend updating to the current version of WordPress (4.9.4). Please make sure to clear out any caching (in your browser and from within your caching plugins) to be sure that you are seeing the latest version of the page.
Let me know how this goes!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Geoff,
Thanks for sending the screenshot…the setting should appear under the Display tab by default. Did the search box come back in a default environment (all other plugins besides The Events Calendar disabled and a default theme like Twenty Seventeen enabled)? I would also recommend updating to the current version of WordPress (4.9.4).
If you’re still running into this issue in a default environment, can you send me a link to a page with the Tribe bar in your testing environment so that I can do some more testing on my end?
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHello,
Sorry for the confusion here…Were you able to determine if this is still occurring in a default environment (all other plugins disabled and a default theme like Twenty Seventeen enabled)? If you don’t want to deactivate things on your live site and don’t have a staging site already, then I would recommend the free WP Staging plugin, which will let you create a quick copy of your live site that you can use for testing. Once you’ve done this, if you are still seeing this issue in a default environment, then can you please send me a link to that page (in the default environment) so that I can test it out on my end?
Since I am not able to recreate this locally, there might be something else on your site that is conflicting with our plugins – please let me know what you find!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
