ParticipantHi
I’d like to help my visitors find events located in major cities like Paris or Luxembourg.
I’m using the link produced by a search:
The result is empty, despite there are existing events located in Paris:
http://thedaily.finance/events/list/
What am I doing wrong?

MemberHi Herve
There are 2 possible things at work here.
First, the search toolbar only looks at the event description information. If you include the word Paris in the description, it may improve the results.
We do have a city filter built into the Filter Bar plugin, which would be far more accurate. You can see it in action on our demo site (2nd row displayed) WP Shindig Demo Site https://wpshindig.com/events/.
Second, check your settings at Events » Settings » General » Map view search distance limit. Increase this to see if you have more results available.
Is there anything else I can help you with?
Thanks

ParticipantHi Courtney
Thanks for your help.
The answer to solution 2 is quite simple: there is already a 50km range in Settings / General.
Regarding solution 1, i’d rather not put cities in all events, this is quite cumbersome. However, I don’t understand why the city filter works with https://wpshindig.com/ and not mine. This used to work correctly a few months ago, and is broken since … I don’t know when.

MemberHey Herve
Filter Bar is its own plugin. That 2nd row is the Filter Bar live on our demo site. The 1st row is what comes standard with The Events Calendar / Events Calendar Pro.
Since you are using Events Calendar Pro, could you enable Map view?
Thanks

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
