Hi – we run a site with events in different cities. What SEO configuration do you offer so that our ‘XYZ workshop’ in New York page ranks above ‘XYZ workshop’ in New York pages from other companies? But at the same time our ‘XYZ workshop’ in London page ranks above ‘XYZ workshop’ in London pages from other companies? Essentially, we want our individual event pages to rank well in terms of SEO in their own right and just wondering how Events Calendar fares in this regard.
Thanks
Julian
Thanks for reaching out! We’ve tried to develop our core calendar plugins with SEO compatibility in mind, but for the most robust set of tools to manage your event SEO, you’ll likely want to pair The Events Calendar (or any of our other plugins) with a dedicated SEO plugin. Yoast SEO is a popular choice among our users–I’d suggest giving it a try to see if it might meet your needs here! 🙂
I hope that helps! Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions!
Thanks for reaching out! We already use Schema.org data in JSON format for our events, which you can verify by exploring the source code for any single event on our WP Shindig demo site:
If you should have any other questions or comments to share, we do ask that you please post a thread of your own on the appropriate forum for your inquiry. Thanks so much! 🙂
Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
