List widget past events showing up

I am having a couple of issues with the Events Calendar list widget.

The widget is currently displaying the upcoming events for that day but also events that have passed that day. For example, no matter what time of day it is the first event in the list is always the first events of the day despite it having past. If it is 1pm then events that started at 8am and finished at 9am, should not be showing in the widget.

Is there a way of fixing this?

Secondly, when events start at 00:00 the time is displaying as ‘ongoing’.

Sorry for the issues I can help out.

We are working on a fix in the next release so that events are removed after they are over from the List View and Widgets. Currently, there is a bug causing them to still show.

I could not replicate the 00:00 time, however, that is not a valid time, instead please try 12:00am. Also, what are your settings for the date and time of that event and is it recurring?

Thanks for the quick response. Good to know about the List view bug. Do you know when the next release is due?

For the midnight issue, I have set the time to 12:00am in the event itself (As I have been importing from csv) and it just shows “Ongoing” as the time. It is not a recurring event All the time settings are the default. Placed an image below.

I check outed the file and it imported for me. I did not see Ongoing in the Day View for any of events.

I did notice one thing, when an event ends at midnight, the time 00:00 is correct, but it should be on the next day for the date as that is considered the start of a new day and not the end.

So an event starting 2/2/15 and going from 9pm to Midnight should have these values:

Start Date:: 2/2/15
Start Time: 07:00PM
End Date: 2/3/15
End Time: 00:00

That fixed one issue for me.

It looks like the Day View has been customized, can you see if you have any templates in your theme in the tribe-events directory and see if removing them fixes the issue?

Any ideas when 3.10 will be released? I too would like to hide past events from current day in list view, which is our main view.

We are working on the next release an are testing it now. I do not know when that process will be complete, hopefully it will be complete within the month, but that is not a confirmed timeline.
