List view widget not working after update

Hello,

I updated to 4.0.6 yesterday for both The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar Pro, and the “Events List” widget will no longer work. It only displays “There are no upcoming events at this time.”

I have tried using both the widget, and the shortcode. It is in a sidebar on my homepage and was working previously with no issues.

I noticed this in my error log from this plugin since I ran the update:

[17-Feb-2016 21:24:52 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function tribe_events_get_widget_event_atts() in /public_html/wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/views/pro/widgets/modules/single-event.php on line 15

It has worked with with my theme previously, but is not working now. It WILL work if I revert to Twenty Fourteen theme.

Hey Rick,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

It sounds like your theme may have a custom template for the widget within a “tribe-events” folder within the theme that includes functions that have become deprecated.

You have  a few options for moving forward on this one:

• Delete the files from your theme and use the default views.
• Take a look at the template and compare to the original within the plugin and adjust the functions that have been updated in the main plugin
• Reach out to the theme developer to see if they have an update for the theme that addresses this particular issue.
