Kris LaGreca
ParticipantUsing events calendar/events calendar pro 2.0.3.
When I use the Event Calendar Widget in a sidebar, the main calendar (in the content area) will not switch to list view. See here: http://demo.npglocal.com/gainbridges/events/
The URL changes, so it looks like the link/button is working. So there’s probably something wrong with a duplicate/conflicting variable in the code.February 6, 2012 at 7:49 am #14718Rob
MemberHi Kris. Thanks for reporting this. We would definitely like to check it out and if there is a bug, get that fixed. But the link appears to be dead…any way you can link us to a functioning calendar and we can take a look from there? Thanks in advance!

MemberThanks Kris. I’m going to get one of our devs to take a look; can you confirm – just so I’m clear – that the switch between list/grid view works fine when you don’t have that widget in place? Let me know and I’ll have someone respond accordingly from there. Apologies for the inconvenience in the interim.

Participantcorrect. If I remove the widget or turn off EC pro plug-in, it works fine.
I was able to replicate this issue on live and a dev server, both which are slightly different platforms. So I ruled out it being a server issue.

MemberThanks for confirming, Kris. Let me see if our dev Jonah has any thoughts when he hits the forums today. If not, I’ll run it up the flagpole internally to try and figure this out for you.

ParticipantHi Kris, very strange. What do you have set as your ‘Events Template’ in the events calendar settings?
February 7, 2012 at 4:06 pm #14832Kris LaGreca
ParticipantHi Jonah,
Good question. I’m using the default page template. If I switch to the default events template, the calendar/list view works, but then again, there’s no sidebar calendar widget, so I don’t think it means too much.I’m using a relatively clean version of twenty-eleven’s page template.
Also, I’m calling two additional jquery scripts in my header, but I disabled them, tried the calendar/list toggle again, it still doesn’t work, so its not that either.

ParticipantHi Kris, can you try disabling other plugins to see if this changes anything?
February 8, 2012 at 9:27 am #14860Kris LaGreca
Participantdisabled all plugins except EC, ECpro. No change.
You guys want FTP, wordpress admin access? I’m happy to let you check under the hood. email me and I’ll get you access.
Are you guys able to replicate this issue, or is it just me?February 8, 2012 at 9:39 am #14863Jonah
ParticipantHey Kris, I’m not able to replicate it. I switched to the TwentyEleven theme and the toggle works fine for me… Have you tried flushing your permalinks? Sometimes that can help too. I’m going to get another dev to take a look at this because I’m not sure what else to do.

Participanttried using the default permalinks — no change.
Again, if I remove the pro-version of the sidebar calendar widget, it works fine. So I’m thinking it has to do with that code.February 8, 2012 at 7:07 pm #14894Rob
MemberHi Kris. I’m also unable to replicate this issue, but I’m going to have another member of the dev team take a look tomorrow to see if a fresh set of eyes may turn something up. We’ll request credentials as you referenced should we need them but it’s not necessary yet. My continued apologies for the inconvenience.

ParticipantI removed the Pro Widget and then added it back into the sidebar and it seemed to work when I did that. Weird, but it worked.
