List view – Date picker

Hi,

In the list view I want the event bar’s date picker to only use months as it does in the month view.
So the user can search using month instead of a specific date.
I searched the forum and did not find any spot on solution for this .

One solution could be to create my own custom dropdown and let the user select month and somehow rewrite the ajax call using that information.
One other idea I had was to re-skin the month view so it looks like the list view. But feels like a really ugly way of solving this.

Is there a smarter / cleaner way of solving this?

Thanks for using our plugins, I’m happy to help and provide some clarification!

Unfortunately, at this time, it’s not a built in option to change the view in this way (which you seem to know) but this change could be made with some customization. I recommend checking out the following resources if you’d like to try making these changes yourself or to find someone to help out with this:

Also, off the top of my head, your ideas seem like the quickest way to accomplish this, though I’m sure with the help of a developer, you could create something a bit more elegant, so it might be worth the investment. 🙂
