List of Events from Event Calendar

Hello, i am using the Event Calendar widget to show all of my upcoming events on the home page as i prefer the style of this widget, however i don’t want the calendar showing up, which i am hiding using display:none; but this eliminates the users function to select a month.

I would like the widget to just show the next 5 upcoming events without the users having to select a month. Is this possible?

Thanks for the help on that, i have done the above but the list view on the modified mini-calendar-widget.php. However this still only shows the current months events, i need it to show the number of events selected in the widget.

Hi rampworx, in that case it is probably better to use the Events List widget – it very much sounds like it meets your needs in all respects except appearance.

For that you could customize it to make it visually closer to the list that displays under the events calendar widget. Please check out our Themer’s Guide for an overview of the basics, however we’d really need to leave the details of a customization like this to you 🙂

Hi Barry,
The thread you mentioned above contains the info needed to remove the grid from the calendar widget. I followed this however had no success in removing it. Could you please advice as to next steps. Perhaps I could give you back end access?

Hi @holiemackeral: please create a thread of your own if you need assistance – if we can give you a prod in the right direction we will happily do so but I’d also ask that you provide sufficient detail (did you follow the steps in the Themer’s Guide re custom overrides? Which template did you override and can you share the code?) – that will make it a lot easier for us to help 🙂
