List events by year

I updated my clients website from Event Calendar Pro 2.0 to 3.5.2. I used to be able to list all past events for a certain year with a URL like “/events/category/2013/past/”. Now that doesn’t work and I can’t find anywhere how to do the same thing. The filter box doesn’t seem to work when I enter a year or even a specific date from the past. For example, I enter “2009” in the date field and I get events from 2011 & 2012. If I try to use a URL such as “/events?action=tribe_list&tribe_paged=1&tribe-bar-date=2009”, I still get wrong results. Please help!
