List events by category

Hello. We are using a pro version of The Events Calendar.

Can you help how to display a list of (~10) upcoming events of one category? Events should be embeded as a list inside a page that has also other content on it.

I know there is a way to use widget. We don’t use a sidebar, but I have found a way to embed widget on a main page by using Widgets from Shortcode plugin. But this is far from ideal.

I think there should be a more simpler way to do that. If there is no ready made solution to do that, then maybe you can write theoretically how to grab this list with PHP, we will code the functionality by ourselves.

Thanks for using our plugins. I can try to help out here.

We do have a event list shortcode with 3.10 that could do this:

[tribe_events_list]

It accepts categories like this:

[tribe_events_list category=”lettuce”]
