List events by category and then sub-category in a day event listing view

Hi,

I want to display events by category and then sub-category on the event listing page (according to what categories they have been assigned to) – is this possible and is there any references that may be able to help me here?

For example, when I select the day listing (or my own custom listing, if that’s possible) I would like the top Heading to be the first top-level category that has events in it for that day (or events in sub-categories of this category that are on this day). Following this would be any further events and/or sub-categories that are listed under this category, and so on. The events listed would be sorted by time. Following this, would be the next top-level category that has events in it for that day (or events in sub-categories of this category that are on this day). and so on and so forth.

Hi Chris,

I’m not 100% sure if you are describing a process for filtering/navigation or grouping of events, but you can certainly customize all of our views (and in fact build completely new views). Please see the following to get you started:

More in-depth customizations like this are typically the sort of thing we really need to leave in your hands, though of course if any more specific questions crop up in the process do feel free to ask away (if nothing else, we might at least be able to point you in the right direction) 🙂
