List Display – Change Template

Hi everybody,
I would like to make some amendments to the “List-overviews-template” and don’t exactly know where to change it.
I just want to skip the detail page for every event and instead use some more custom fields to appear under the preview section. Furthermore I’d like to delete the permalink linking to the detail page – can somebody please tell me how I can pull the details to the overview section, which php-file is to amend?
