Links under mini calendar are wrong for recurring events

Hi there,

I am using the mini calendar for choosing tickets and when you click on a date, available events show up and work fine.

BUT the events that load directly when you open the page with the mini calendar (I have set it to 5 events), all these events link to the first mother event that is set to be recurring, (the 1st instance), not the instances it lists (that were created automatically). Here’s the page where it’s implemented:

After looking at it again, the links seem to go to the first event of its category in the given month (not to the mother event that is set to be recurring)

I’m sorry we haven’t been in touch with a reply here. We’ve been inundated with support requests as more people update to 3.0, so we are a little behind our usual 24-hour window for responses. We do not do support over the weekend, but we will be in touch here with a more substantial reply as soon as possible.

In the meantime, some of these tips might be helpful:
* Double check your Plugin page for updates. We’ve just released our latest maintenance release. As of 7/12, the most current versions are The Events Calendar 3.0.1 and Events Calendar PRO 3.0.2.
* If you’re experiencing a problem with links, try resetting and resaving your permalinks.
* If the issue is with settings, try resaving your settings page- even if you haven’t changed anything.
* Having trouble with a customization done in 2.x? Be sure to check out our Themer’s Guide and documentation.

You might also search the forums to see if someone else has a similar issue and has found a solution. Finally, if the problem you’re experiencing is a serious problem, you may choose to downgrade back to 2.0.11.

I think you’ve hit on a bug with our calendar widget here – I can replicate it and am just going to send a report to our developer: we should be able to fix this in time for the next maintenance release.

For anyone else experiencing the same issue, this seems to have solved it for me: under plugins/events-calendar-pro/views/widgets/mini-calendar/single-event.php, there is a line that generates the link for each upcoming event (div class=”list-info”). Inside , I replaced get_permalink($post->ID) with tribe_get_event_link($post).

Hi janpp, thanks for posting back with your fix – unfortunately our forum is pretty poor at sharing code and it is best to do this by linking to your code on Pastebin, Gist or some other service (since it looks like some of what you wrote was, regrettably, stripped out).
