MemberHey William,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
I’ve just accessed your calendar and everything is working as expected as I can see from here. You were running outdated versions of The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO in your site when posted this thread, but now everything is up-to-date and working properly.
If you have any other questions at all please feel free to let me know and I’d be happy to help as best I can!
Cheers,
Patricia

ParticipantHi,
Yes we upgraded the plugins and the WordPress Core and now everything works
…. so my question is .. is that normal? Licensing is for updates but
things should stay working anyway no?Thank you,

ParticipantHi, I do have another unrelated question.
How do I feature an event on a separate page?
For example this particular event is in Downtown Lake Mary … I have a separate Downtown Lake Mary page .. is there a shortcode or something where I can feature that one event (that is recurring) on that page? There will be multiple events in this same venue.
Venue: https://www.myheathrowflorida.com/shopping-north-orlando/downtown-lake-mary/
Event: https://www.myheathrowflorida.com/lake-mary-events-calendar/wine-art-wednesdays-downtown-lake-mary/2017-12-06/Thanks.

MemberHi William,
Answering your question: yes, it is possible to embed single events in different pages with the [tribe_event_inline] Shortcode!
You will find detailed information about how to use it in the following article:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-single-events-tribe_event_inline-shortcode/
You can also create categories to group events that will happen in a specific venue and use the [tribe_events] shortcode to display all of them together:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/
I hope this helps!

ParticipantHi, thanks for this … I went to the page but couldn’t find the VENUE example, only the category one …
Example: [tribe_events view=”list” category=”barbecue”]
If my venue was for example ‘Downtown Lake Mary’, how should it be displayed?
I tried [tribe_events view=”list” venue=”downtown lake mary”]
but that didn’t work. Please advise. Thanks.

ParticipantQuick question … if you delete a VENUE, will it delete all of the events associated with it? Thanks.

MemberHi William,
Out of the box I believe the best option you have to group your events by venue is by using the [tribe_featured_venue slug=”your-venue-slug”] shortcode. You will find more information about the Featured Venue Shortcode here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/
Answering your second question, if you delete a venue, it won’t delete all events associated with it.
I hope this helps 🙂 Let me know if you have any other questions!
Cheers,
Patricia

ParticipantSorry cant seem to get it right …
When I try the new shortcode I don’t see any thumbnails.
I want to see the attached view.
I tried this but didn’t work.
[tribe_events view=”list” slug=”downtown-lake-mary”]
Please advise.

MemberHi William,
Unfortunately the venue is not an attribute in our [tribe_events] shortcodes. As suggested before, I would recommend you to create categories to group events that will happen in a specific venue and use the [tribe_events view=”the_view_you_want” category=”your_category”] shortcode to display all of them together.
I would also recommend proposing this feature in our User Voice page to let us know.
Other users can then up-vote it, giving us a great idea of how much demand there might be (or, if you can find a suitable existing request, you can in turn up-vote that).
I hope this helps! If you have any other questions at all please feel free to let me know and I’d be happy to help as best I can!
Cheers,
Patricia
