Links in event description to external websites not working

When I enter links in the description of event, they are live in my local preview but when published appear as text without active link. Could you suggest a solution? Thanks.

“see more” the links work on the expanded view.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for sharing the link! I see what you mean now. Unfortunately, there are some technical restrictions that currently make it difficult to prevent the HTML from being stripped from the automatically generated excerpt on an event. However, you can manually set an excerpt that will accept HTML by entering the text into the excerpt box on your event edit screen. I know this isn’t a perfect solution, but for now that would be the only way to use HTML in the excerpt. I would recommend taking a look at this article for a more in-depth explanation on the reasoning behind this and plans for better solutions in the future, which we are working on!
