Link to category AND view?

I see how it is possible to link to all events using a specific view, using events/list/, for example. I also see how to link to a specific category using category/category-slug. But is there a way to link to a specific category to be displayed using the non-default view? For example, if my default view is “Day”, is there a way to link to a category and show it in list view?
