Limiting # of Categories per Event?

Hello,
Is there any way to limit the # of categories that people can choose when posting an event?

To prevent users from putting an event in say, 10 categories for example… And limiting them to 3 instead?

This should be possible by leveraging Select2’s maximumSelectionSize
