Limit tickets availability (without additional add-on)

We are thinking about using your plugin to build a free booking system, is it possible to limit number of tickets available on each event? We’ve seen that that’s possible with your tickets add-on just only setting the ticket stock. Is it possible with the free/pro version of the plugin out of the box or tickets add-on is needed?

So neither The Events Calendar or Events Calendar PRO themselves include ticket-handling facilities.

In this case one of our ticketing addons would be required 🙂
