    We organize events for which we collect fees. These can be broadly categorized as industry or trade conferences.

    We want the person registering for the event a.k.a the person who is buying the ticket to be limited to only ONE TICKET per order. Reason is we dont want to sell TWO (or THREE) tickets to the same person.

    Is there an option within woocommerce tickets to allow for this?

    Optionally, if there is a way to collect multiple attendee information (similar to EventBrite), that would be great as well. Reason behind this is the receptionist (or an executive assistant) might be tasked with buying e.g. 10 tickets in one order – and we as Hosts want to know who all are attending.

    Let me add that we have circumvented this by editing the ticket in woocommerce product page, and then limiting the Inventory to be “Sold Individually”. While not elegant it does solve our burning issue. If the registrant enters more than 1 quantity for the ticket, then the shopping cart displays only quantity as 1. However, if the registrant tries to buy another ticket in the same session – by browsing back to the event and adding one more of the same ticket, the shopping cart throws an error “You already have this item in your cart.”

    Hello again, nkelkar. Thanks for the detailed descriptions. That’s very helpful for us. 🙂

    Because WooCommerce Tickets is basically allowing integration between The Events Calendar and WooCommerce, we don’t have a lot of control over the shopping cart and checkout process. What you’ve done with configuring WooCommerce to prevent multiple sales is exactly what I’d recommend.

    As far as adding a way for the customer to include more information at checkout, that’s a commonly requested feature, but unfortunately, not one that we have implemented yet.     Other than that, people have reported using other plugins for collecting data, and if you search the forums, you’re likely to find some threads about it. That may be worth looking into.
