    I am wondering if there is a way to limit the number of text/letters in the event description. I don’t want more than like 75 words to be submitted for an event. Thanks.

    It’s not currently possible to do this on the submission form, but you could perform a template override (https://theeventscalendar.com/what-are-template-overrides-and-how-do-i-do-them/) and just display the excerpt instead of the full description.

    How comfortable are you editing PHP?

    I am not but will give it to someone that is. Will this be fairly easy for someone that knows how? I will have to pay for this lol! Out of curiosity, what is excerpt? Thanks.

    Lyne,
    Someone who is familiar with PHP should be able to perform a template override (https://theeventscalendar.com/what-are-template-overrides-and-how-do-i-do-them/) and modify the necessary PHP files fairly easily.

    Unfortunately we can’t support customizations, but using our documentation, your designer should be able to figure it out. If not, I’d search for a competent PHP/WordPress developer and they should be able to get this done.
