Guest1. If I install and activate the plugin on a sandbox on my server, will it work when I migrate the new site to the client’s server?
2. The client’s calendar currently displays featured images on the calendar view, but these images only appear on hover in The Events Calendar. I know the Tickets plugin integrates with Events Calendar, but I’m curious if you’ve heard of other calendar plugins with featured event images that are integrated into the monthly view.
3. Little unclear on the integration with WooCommerce. Does each event become a new product, or does each event link to an existing product? The client sells art classes that are based on recurring subjects.
Thanks…June 10, 2014 at 6:46 am #216731Casey
ParticipantMichael,
Thanks for getting in touch. Let me address your questions here one at a time:- Yes, but you’ll need to make sure to deactivate the License Key for your old site if you want to continue to get automatic updates. You can do this on your License Keys page when you’re logged in.
- Unfortunately I’m not aware of other calendars that offer this.
- Each Event can have multiple tickets, and each ticket becomes a product in WooCommerce that you can manage.
Hopefully that helps to answer your questions, but let me know if I can help further. Thanks! 🙂

GuestOn point 3, I’m probably making this too complicated. Let’s say you have a photographer who sells on-site photo sessions. Changing the backdrops is a hassle, so he shoots Western-style photos on Tuesdays and skater punks on Thursdays. He puts these sessions up on Events Calendar and wants to sell tickets with the Tickets plugin.
My thought going in was that the photographer would set up two products – Western shoots and skater punks – and use the appropriate product links for each calendar listing. I think what you’re saying is that you don’t need to set up those two basic products, because the tickets themselves are the products. In other words, you set up your calendar events (with no recurring feature, boo), then create one or more ticket “products” that are linked to those specific calendar events. Over time, you’re going to get a boatload of products in WooCommerce, even though there are only two products being offered in reality. Is that right?

ParticipantThat’s correct. 🙂
