License. Must be wrong what I've read!!

Well, not really a pre-sale question….I have just bought one license and just discovered that you can’t use the license on the development site and the production! This is crazy!
I hope this doesn’t apply to offline versions too. Do you imagine a developer disabling enabling the plugin on the production site?
Could you clarify?

Thanks for using our plugins. I can help out here.

The license is only needed for Automatic Updates. All our plugins will work without having a license.

So you can choose the site you want to have the automatic updates and if you have a development site you can manually update that one or transfer the license back and forth.
