License Keys

Sorry I am putting this here, but I couldn’t find a better place for it. We have two developer licenses, I am noticing that a lot of our staging sites are showing up as registered licenses. Before I simply remove them, I just want to make sure that’s not going to effect those sites in anyway.

They are literally just for testing for the “live” site (see WpEngine’s staging environment). It seems to me that I can’t be the only one with this question; I guess I could be wrong. At any rate, I just want to make sure nothing is going to brake.

Hi anthony,

Thanks for being such a supporter! Your sites should be fine. If you delete the license key from a site it does not remove the plugin or the data. It will continue to function just fine. What you do lose is the ability to get automatic updates on that (staging) site. Once you transfer the license to the live site you should be all set and ready to go.
