David
ParticipantHey folks,
I have had TEC PRO running on our primary site for a while now and everything has been lovely. I recently upgraded to 3.0 and had no issues. We run a WordPress Network with 5 sites on it. TEC was only running on 3 of them, and TEC PRO on only one.
I started doing some development work for a using the “sandbox” site I have setup on this Network. We’re planning to use TEC PRO to run a community events site, so I grabbed my license key from the Tribe site, activated the PRO plugin on the sandbox site and hunted around for the place to drop the key. Couldn’t find it.
I came here to forums and noticed someone indicated this tab ca now be found in the Network Admin settings panel. Hunted around, couldn’t find it. I did a network activation on the PRO plugin and then found it under the Network Admin Settings panel. Dropped in my key, it validated, I hit save.
When I went back to my development sandbox site, the events still weren’t showing. I did a network activation of the core TEC plugin. The events still are not displaying. Then I noticed that the events on the primary site were not displaying. Looking around, I realized non of the calendars on any of the sites are being populated with events that are there and upcoming.
We have a Business License with 3 keys, only one of which is being used. What do I do? Where is the right place to plug the key in, the individual site settings where the License tab won’t display, or the Network Admin settings panel, where it does show up but seems to kick all the calendars offline?

MemberHi David,
Thanks for your note. I’m sorry the license keys are giving you trouble. The correct place to input the license keys is under Events –> Settings on the License Keys tab. However, sometimes the input field disappears when the install is running incongruous versions of the plugin. You said that you were using TEC 3.0.1 and PRO 3.0.2 right? That should work. Could you post a screenshot of your Events –> Settings License Keys tab?
The issue of the disappearing events is a bug we just found in 3.0.2. Happily, we got a fix out this morning in the form of 3.0.3. So I highly recommend that you go ahead and update to PRO 3.0.3 (still with TEC 3.0.1). Again, those version are compatible. That should resolve the issue with the calendar not displaying. It may also be effecting the license keys tab, although I’m not sure. Please update and let me know if that changes anything.
Thank you for your patience while we figure this out.
Best,

MemberHi David,
I wanted to give you an update- we looked into this and it appears that on a multisite, you only have the license key tab on the main network sites, and it is not on subsites. So I believe that in that respect, your site is working as it should. You should only need the one license key to keep all the sub sites up to date.
The missing events are still problematic, of course, but I hope that by updating your multisites to PRO 3.0.3 will resolve that. And of course, let me know if it doesn’t.
Cheers,
