    Hi there,

I am currently exploring new webhosts (specifically, amazon AWS).

I take issue with the restrictions on my license. I am not mis-using my license (it is only being used on the live site, somaticexperiecing.com (at Bluehost), but I also added an A record so that my EC2 instance is added as ec2.somaticexperiencing.com.

Since we are developing some things in Woocommerce, the calendar plugin isn’t in use, but I would think, that as long as the plugin is being used at the same URL, that should count as the same license.

Any way this could be helped? I am really not trying to screw anyone over. I appreciate your software.

    Hi Peter,

Thanks for taking the time to reach out! No worries–your usage of personal licenses between staging/development and live versions of the same sites is 100% kosher and supported by our licensing. That said, license activations are subject to certain restrictions depending on how your dev site URLs are structured. You can read a bit more about sharing licenses between dev and live sites on our Knowledgebase here, including details on restrictions and how to work within them while keeping your sites updated. I hope you’ll find it helpful in setting things up for your separate environments!

Thanks again for reaching out, and please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions!

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
