    My Site http://www.aquedukt.co.uk

Is having a licencing issue “it looks like this license is being used on a multisite network ”

I’ve read your licensing which states that if I have a multisite with over 10 sites I have to buy a business or agency. Seams strangely arbitrary – I’m still only using the 1 seat – but lets forget that for the moment.

I’ve just upgraded to a Business licence but get the same error,

My site has been decimated because of the lack of Pro and I’ve just put a massive amount of work into promoting a festival which starts tomorrow!

I use Networks for WordPress plugin to create multiple networks – and my site is on a network of it’s own.

Please advise as a matter or urgency!

    Ok.

I’ve moved the site from a separate network (on the same install) so that all of my sites are in the same Network

My License is showing up as site url (www.silverstreetstudios.co.uk) rather than mapped URL http://www.aquedukt.co.uk

License is still showing as invalid on aquedukt dashboard

    Hey Chris,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

I apologize for the inconvenience and confusion around our plugin and use on multisite. We’ve recently made some license changes you can find more information about this in our Knowledgebase article https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/multisite-license/.

Let me know if you have any further questions or requests about your particular scenario after reviewing this information.

    Thanks!

    Josh,

    I’ve read that – it’s not clear.

However, if you want to manage your license keys, plugins, and updates on a network level, and/or you have over ten subsites, you will need a multisite license.

Ok — this is suggesting that I need to buy a multisite license

If you are running a small network (10 sites or less) and don’t mind managing the plugins on a subsite level, you can purchase a Business (up to 3 sites) or Agency (up to 10 sites) level license. You will need to input the keys into each individual subsite’s Events Settings page as described in our other license key tutorial.

I think this suggests that I can’t use a Business or Agency license and that I have to buy one of these mythical multisite licenses

On My license Page https://theeventscalendar.com/license-keys/ there are options for Agency and Unlimited?

Am i supposed to choose Unlimited?

Surely you are not asking me to pay £1200 to license your plugins on my 1 site?

1/2 way through my 1 year license functionality stops because you’ve

We’ve recently made some license changes

    This kills my site. Over.

    And it’s completely arbitrary.

I only use it on 1 site.

On your product page there is an outright purchase for Pro Multisite at £350 and probably similar for FB. There is no upgrade link for this package and I don’t want to have to buy it.

Your changes have put my costs up 400% – This is nuts. From $150 to $700 ? I feel Livid, and robbed.

Please link me to the license that I need to buy

    Hey Chris,

We’re really sorry about your frustrations and inconveniences here, and Rob has personally gotten in touch with you over email to help us move this forward and make things right with you. There are three key points out of all this that need to be highlighted:

    1. You were right about some vague language on our Multisite Licenses knowledgebase article. We meant absolutely no harm by that, and have no intentions of swindling users out of money or anything like that. I worked personally on the rolling-out of Multisite Licenses and know first hand that, while we took these new licenses very seriously, if we were vague in that article it was just because there many balls to juggle during the license release and we let some un-clear language slip through the cracks.

I’m personally sorry about that and know lots of other folks on the license team are, too. We’ve fixed that language this evening.

    2. Technical issues like your widgets not appearing, or Venue pages being blank, etc. – basically any technical issue at all – are not related to any license problems, guaranteed. There are other things going wrong on your site. License checks do not not affect any code functionality whatsoever, with any of our plugins. Please open a new thread on these forums about these specific, technical issues if you haven’t already. We will tend to those in that thread while we tend to your account/license issues over email.

    3. You can use a Personal License. And we can refund any additional things you’ve paid for in error based on the vague language from our knowledgebase article. The one caveat to this is that at http://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/license-keys, you might see a notice like “You’re using a Multisite License on a single site, please disconnect now” – you can ignore this. We are working hard to improve this functionality, but right now the only data we get from user sites (for privacy reasons!) is basically whether your site is or is not on a multisite network. If it is, that error will display, so it does not mean you actually have to upgrade your license and you can ignore it.

I hope all of this information helps. To contain and organize our discussions, I will close this forum thread – respond to Rob’s email directly so we can help out with your license/account issues, and to seek help with your technical issues, open a new thread here on the forums.

    Thank you Chris!

    Sincerely,
    George
