For some reason when I create a staging environment for my website, the staging environment gives me some errors saying that the paid for plugins I have of the events calendar are not licensed. Is there any way to work around this so that I can develop in a staging environment without having to purchase more licenses. It is all for the same site but I try not to make changes to the live site when possible.

    Hi Traeci,

Absolutely! You can use the plugins on both your live and development sites. Here are some tips for making that happen:

In short, you have the choice of using a domain extension that does not get counted when reading licenses, or moving the license between the two sites. It’s also worth mentioning that the plugins do not require the license key in order to properly function — the license key simply activates automatic updates. 🙂

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Cheers!
