I have a parallel development site of our live site located on a different server and domain. Is there anyway to activate Event Calendar Pro on the development site without purchasing another licence?

    Thanks!

    Hi Steven!

Thanks for reaching out to us! 🙂

Sure, you can have both sites activated with the same license. You will find how to do that here > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-one-license-live-dev-sites/

I hope that helps and let me know if you have other questions.

    Best!

Unfortunately, this doesn’t help me. Our hosting company provides us development space as a sub-domain that is .com. There is no way for us to use your domain restrictions without adding new paid hosting. I’m sure this would be the case with most hosting providers. Using a Localhost is both not practical or desirable for us either. I think you need to review this policy. Other paid plug-ins get around the issue by allowing two connections. I’m disappointed.

    Hi Steven!

I’m sorry to hear that it doesn’t work with your current staging setup.

I know it would be a good improvement to also include sub-domains for cases like yours. The team has already gone through them so there is a chance for this to be possible in the future.

Rest assured our plugins do not reduce functionality if you don’t have an active license in them. Having the active license in your site only gives you the automated updates.

When new updates are available you can always download a copy of them from your account downloads page.

Let us know if you have other questions and we’ll be happy to help.

    Best!

    Hey Steven!

I’m glad you found it works for you. Thanks for letting me know.

I’ll close this now, but feel free to open a new topic when needed. 🙂

    Cheers!
