André
ParticipantBonjour,

My French is pretty poor, but I’ll help you as best I can!
It sounds like The Events Calendar is installed and working fine on your site, but Events Calendar PRO is not–is that correct?
It does sound like the FTP folder structure could be a clue. Is Events Calendar PRO installed in the same directory as that The Events Calendar is? If not, please upload it to the same /plugins directory and see if that makes a difference.
Another option is to upload the PRO zip file directly in WordPress by heading to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. That will allow you to upload the zip file and install the plugin from there, ensuring it is in the correct directory.
Let’s start here and see what we find. 🙂
Cheers!

ParticipantHello Geoff,
Your french seems to be good, you understood my problem 🙂 I installed the free version very easily but I can’t install the pro version I bought yersterday. I tried to install it manually (unzipped exactly at the same place as the free version) and I tried to install in the plugin panel of wordpress but it doesn’t work…
As you said, I think the problem comes along with the FTP folder structure. My website is developped in a folder and the plugin tries to install at the parent directory… I think.
Sorry for my poor english and thanks in advance for your help !

MemberHey André, thanks for following up! And thanks for replying in English–you’re great at it. 🙂
Do you happen to have access to an FTP application where you can install the plugin manually? If so, let’s give that a shot. That will give you the ability to select the exact directory you wish to drag the extracted plugin folder into and then things should work from there.
Also, just curious: are you able to install other plugins without any trouble? If so, how are those being installed?
Thanks!

ParticipantHello again Geoff !
Yes, I tried manually. The unzipped folder has been uploaded in the same folder as the other plugins. Every plugins work (LayerSlider, Duplicate post, Fusion core, Revolution slider, WPML and the free version of The Event Calendar) except the Event Calendar Pro 🙁 It doesn’t appear in my plugins list.
When I go to the “System’s informations” in the “Help” panel of the free version of Event Calendar, the URL that appears is the parent folder of my site and not the folder of my site. I bought the Personal version (for 1 site) and it seems like it tries to install at the root directory…
Any other idea ? :-$
Thanks !December 1, 2015 at 8:48 am #1033271Geoff
MemberOh weird! So, the plugin is showing as being uploaded to the parent folder even though it’s been uploaded to the other directory? That’s super odd and I honestly haven’t come across that before.
Would you be willing to copy the system information and paste it here for me as a private reply? That might help me see if there are any red flags.
Also, is this site on a multisite network by chance?
Thanks for your help while we figure this out!

MemberThis is so weird! Thanks for bearing with me while we look into it together.
Do you have access to an FTP application? I would be curious to see what happens if we manually install the plugin directly to the same folder as the rest of those plugins.
