ParticipantHi,
I tried your new Aggregator plugin and don’t like the new interface. First I have to open each Facebook event provider to see what can be imported and then there is no (link) so I can’t quickly view the event before deciding to import it. I have to go to Facebook and find it. We only import Facebook events and don’t need the other Aggregator options and expense. I read in another forum post that you are not going to remove the Facebook Importer but you are no longer updating it.Please don’t force us into using the Aggregator. If that is your plan I would appreciate having the (link) option and the ability to view all of my events on one page.
It also took over 5 minutes for the Facebook tab to open today where it used to open all most instantly before the Aggregator update. https://idahohighcountry.org/events/
Thanks! Ann

ParticipantHey Ann,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I’m sorry to hear that you’re not happy about the switch to our Event Aggregator service. One of the biggest reasons we’ve decided to switch to this approach has been due to the massive number of variables with trying to ensure proper importing within different client environments. With the new Aggregator, we’ve offloaded the processes to our servers and can provide a much smoother import process for our customers.
However, I can definitely understand missing some of the features available within the old interface and wanting to see those in the new Aggregator. To clarify those, it sounds like the key elements are:
- A cleaner way to more quickly see all events available for import within a given query
- The ability to click on each event available to preview the event on Facebook prior to importing.
When you mention the delay in opening the Facebook tab, was this when the Aggregator was trying to generate the preview that you saw the delay?
Thanks!

ParticipantHi,
Aggregator would be OK if it had those features of the Facebook Import plugin. I would also like to have the (previously imported) message. The delay problem was on the Legacy Events Import Facebook tab. It took over 20 minutes to open it today. I only have 16 Facebook pages and about 50 events. I removed the Aggregator licence key to see if that would help but it didn’t.
Thanks again!

ParticipantHey Ann,
I’ll definitely pass this feedback along to our team in regards to the features on the current Event Aggregator.
For the legacy importer though, has the issue persisted or was this a temporary issue possibly caused by a service delay there?
Thanks!
