ParticipantAfter installing the latest update of PRO, I got the following message when I tried the Divi customizer.
Catchable fatal error: Argument 2 passed to Tribe__Events__Pro__Customizer__Section::register() must be an instance of Tribe__Events__Pro__Customizer__Main, instance of Tribe__Customizer given in /home/summer61/public_html/wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/Tribe/Customizer/Section.php on line 230
Also, I get the following message in my dashboard even thought my plugin says that I have version 4.3.4: “The following plugins are out of date: Events Calendar PRO 4.3.4.”
Also, my dashboard bar does not show while I’m logged in. This is not good!!!
Please advise. Steve Davis

ParticipantI have updated my Events Calendar Pro plugin to 4.4, but I still have a problem. I don’t get the error message anymore, but I can’t access the “Customize” option and I still don’t see the dashboard bar on my pages when logged in. This makes it very difficult to make edits.
Please advise. I need to get this fixed.
Thanks.

MemberGood evening Stephen and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the issues you have experienced after updating to the latest version of Pro. I would love to help you with this topic.
Before anything else, I would also recommend updating Event Tickets Plus to it’s latest version.
If the update notice is not kicking in, try deactivating and reactivating that plugin. On my end, while using Divi Version: 3.0.27, I am not able to reproduce that issue with the latest versions of all of our plugins. Can you tell me which version of Divi you are using.
Additionally, I am noticing that your max php execution time is set at 0. I would recommend increasing this to 300.
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

ParticipantHi Geoff
I had updated to the latest version of Events Ticket Plus (4.4) and the latest Div version (3.0.27).
How do I change my max php execution time???
Thanks.

MemberGood evening Stephen,
Thank you for the update and the additional information.
Changing the max execution time is done at the webhost level typically (either through the php.ini or .htaccess file most of the time). You will have to ask them.
There are 2 last things I would need to pursue this further, if you don’t mind:
- Can you turn on wp_debug and send me a copy of the error log in a private reply ? https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress
- You could also use the debug bar plugin for that purpose : https://wordpress.org/plugins/debug-bar/
Finally, by the sound of it, it looks like there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
I realize that is slightly time-consuming. However, it is the fastest way to find out what the cause of the issue is and fix it.
Hang in there!
Best regards,
Geoff B.

ParticipantHi Geof
After going through all of your recommendations, I’ve determined that the “culprit” plugin is WP Supper Cache. Everything seems to work when it’s disabled. This is not a good thing as I need a caching program so the site can run faster. I will try W3 Total Cache to see if that will work.
I have another question. What QR scanner app should we use for scanning our tickets?
Thanks.

MemberGood evening Steve,
I am glad you found the culprit. Kudos on that and thank you for sharing your finding!
In all fairness, it might be a simple matter of configuring WP Super Cache differently.
I do not know for sure, but it might be a good question for their support team.I know a lot of our customers are really happy with WP Rocket in case that helps.
I have another question. What QR scanner app should we use for scanning our tickets?
That is a great question. We actually have received the suggestion to build our own apps:
Any QR scanner app that lets you login to your site with the appropriate role should work great.
Most QR scanner/reader apps offer those features.Personally, I have successfully used the QR reader app on my iPhone.
So I guess the answer is the app that is the most appealing to you.
Let me know how that goes.
