hi there.
We updated the calendar (and pro) to the new version.
Language – German. At the first look, there was a mix up in the languages English and German together.
So we installed the germnan language file new in both language directories (Events Calendar and Pro)
The language file was downloaded from here:
http://translations.theeventscalendar.com/projects/tribe-events-calendar-pro
and
http://translations.theeventscalendar.com/projects/tribe-events-calendarNow the mix of languages is gone – but, everything is in English??

If your translation file is not working, then it’s likely just outdated because the .pot file for The Events Calendar has totally changed with the 3.10 update.
We’ve just launched a whole new process for translations and have two write-ups for it here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/changing-the-language-on-your-calendar/And here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/adding-or-updating-a-translation/I suggest you check those out, and check out the new Translations Site. See if German is fully translated, and grab new files if so. Hopefully the new mo and po files will work better than your previous attempts.
Thank you!

thx for your reply so far.
I checked everything you wanted.
1. Language Settings for our site are all ok.
2. I checked the new Language files for the Calendar and the pro Calendar.
– German is translated 98 % and 100 %
– I downloaded these files and loaded them up into both calendar language directories.Still, everything in English?
One point I am not sure about is:
– almost all files in that language directory are written as follows:
tribe-events-calendar-bg_BG.mo
The german files are written like this:
tribe-events-calendar-pro-de.mo
instead of:
tribe-events-calendar-pro-de_DE.moBut I suppose the ending with big letters does not matter?

The letters do matter – try tribe-events-calendar-pro-de_DE.mo
Thanks!
GeorgeJuly 2, 2015 at 1:52 am #974443MichaelParticipantHi there,
its all fixed.
but:
– if you download the language files the ending is e. g. -de and not -de_DE
It all works now, after I have instlled the latest updates 3.10.1 and after changing the endings of the downloaded files!Pse mark as resolved/closed

Thank you!
