Kenyan Currency update

Currently the website shows: KES500 : (500 Kenyan Shillings) as a price for an event

My client wants it to display as: KES 500/

What do I do to make this change?

You can go to wp-admin > Events > Settings > General tab (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/wp-admin-settings-overview/#general)

The General Settings allow me to have currency symbol before OR after the price.

I need <KES >number</->

I can add the space before the number if I put a space in the currency symbol.

But if I put 10,000/- in the price, the “/-” is removed.

I’d recommend using the tribe_get_cost filter, from https://github.com/moderntribe/the-events-calendar/blob/4.6.18/src/functions/template-tags/general.php#L819

I have PHP and front-end skills but working with hooks & filters is not something I understand.

Having “Default currency symbol” set to “KES” and using https://gist.github.com/cliffordp/9ce9bcae4d3a08453b9062aeef12e3a8 as a starting point:

add_filter( 'tribe_get_cost', function ( $cost ) {
return $cost . '/';
} );
