Keeping calendar icon in Event List Widget

Hi there–
My client desperately wants the calendar icon that appears by each post (showing the date) in the calendar widget (see here: https://theeventscalendar.com/events-calendar-widgets/) but NOT the whole calendar. When I use the Event LIST widget, it does not display the little calendar date icon next to the post, which they are in love with. Can anyone help? I’m not a coder so I’m hoping this is an easy fix (or, I can tell the programmer that works with us occasionally how to easily fix it). Thanks!

I tried that (I’m looking at doing the same) but the calendar icon doesn’t show up using that code. Is there a setting I should change to make it look like that?

Mainly, i put that new code in but when I click the calendar widget, the calendar still pops up. Sorry, couldn’t figure out how to edit a reply.
