Just installed plugin and formatting looks bad

I have just installed The Events Calendar and am using with the Avada Theme. When you view the events list on my website: https://the7minutelife.com/events/ the formatting of my list page looks different from the images I am finding on Google.

The first few images in this link came from Google images – this is the formatting I expected to find when using The Events Calendar. The next few images show the formatting showing on our site. The monthly calendar looks fine – the padding on our events list page is different, the individual event title is shown inside the featured image – instead of above the featured image, the details are in a sidebar – not below the text, and the formatting of the ticket/add to cart is broken.

I have tried to correct via changing all of the options shown in the display. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin.

I would love to help you with this topic.

the formatting of my list page looks different from the images I am finding on Google.

This is caused by a template customization that is built into the Avada theme.

If you temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty fifteen and look at the calendar’s appearance you will see what I mean.

You could bypass those customizations by doing a couple of things:

1. Disable the /tribe-events/ folder by changing it’s name to something like /z_tribe-events/
2. Play with the settings found under Events -> Settings -> Display (especially the first one).
