    I am not sure if this is an issue or just how the location search feature is supposed to function but I thought I would bring it up as something to potentially look at.

    We are currently promoting an event in Rochester, Minnesota and I noticed when I type “Rochester” into the Location search our event wasn’t showing up in the list of events, and after a little digging I realized that it was defaulting to Rochester, NY. If I type “Rochester, MN” into the location search then the event would come up.

    I have a few screenshots attached to help illustrate what is happening.

    Hi there Eric

    Unfortunately, this is a limitation of Google Maps. Our maps view relies upon Google Maps to function, and when I search Google Maps directly, it too defaults to NY vs MN.

    I’m checking further on if we have a workaround option available and will let you know what I find.

    After some more digging, it looks like we don’t have a way to tell Google to default to a specific region. However, we are researching this further. I don’t expect a quick solution on this, but will flag this thread so that when we do have a better answer, we will let you know.
