Issue with displaying long-running events

Hi, we have several events that are very long-running (8 months +). These are mostly training events, so enrollment is closed after a certain point, and I’m not convinced that these benefit from being displayed everywhere in the event calendar.

Do you have any suggestions for handling these types of events? I think the default setting works best for daily to weekly events, conferences etc., so maybe we need to rethink things. On the other hand, we do want to list these major events in our calendar with the correct start and end dates, so simply having a ‘launch week’ or ‘kickoff day’ event has its own issues.

Let me know if you can think of any use cases that have would solutions for this 🙂

Thanks for reaching out to us on this! Interesting question here…

I’m not quite sure what would be the best solution for your case. I guess it depends on how many other events you have in the calendar… One thing that might be useful is to create some category for containing this types of events, so then using Category Colors plugins or adding the main events categories to the nav will help users get to see the events they are interested in.

Do you think this makes sense for your site? What event view where you planning to use?
