ParticipantHi –
I’ve done a good bit of searching through the forums here, and I see that there’s a large thread devoted to a pretty similar issue from back in 2012, but between here and the rest of my Googling I have not been able to find a solution for my issue. On my localhost I can run the Community Events add on with no issues and I can successfully reach the /events/community/add page to view my form. When I push the site to my staging server, there appears to be some sort of an issue where the index.php file is being used as a template to display the /events/community/add page.
Upon further investigation using the debug settings I have been able to deduce the following:
1) On my localhost, running PHP 5.6.2 and MySQL 5.5.38 there is no issue loading the /events/community/add page
2) On my staging server, running PHP 5.4.13 and MySQL 5.5.30 the page will not display as expected. On further examination I can see the following:
Request: events/community/add
Query String: WP_Route=ce-add-route
Matched Rewrite Rule: ^events/community/add$
Matched Rewrite Query: WP_Route=cd-add-routeAny assistance on this would be greatly appreciated. I’m on a tight deadline here and to avoid developing these features myself I went ahead and purchased this plugin, but it’s now become a blocking issue.

MemberHi Jill,
I’m sorry you’re experiencing difficulties.
I do see you indicated already having run through our standard troubleshooting steps – am I correct in thinking those did not help or did not allow you to identify any conflicts?
If not, can you try:
- Flushing permalinks (simply visit Settings > Permalinks, no need to change or save anything) and see if that helps
- If it doesn’t help, repeat the standard troubleshooting steps and, once everything except our plugins has been deactivated and you have reverted to a default theme, repeat the flush permalinks step
- Before reactivating everything else, check to see if the submission form is accessible then continue with reactivation, testing for conflicts as you proceed
Does that help at all or get you any closer to figuring out the source of the problem?

ParticipantHi Barry,
It appears my issue was being caused by a restricted site access plugin, which was redirecting my requests away from the add events page. I did not expect this to have been an issue as my IP is added to the unrestricted list for the plugin, but as soon as I deactivated it, everything was performing fine.
Many thanks for your help on this!

MemberMy pleasure 🙂
I’ll go ahead and close the thread since it sounds like you’re all sorted – but please don’t hesitate to create new threads as required if we can assist with anything else.
Last but not least, we are always keen to hear about your experiences with The Events Calendar in general and if you’d like to leave any notes on our plugin review page we’d love to hear from you.
Thanks again!
